ANS ABSTRACT/PRESENTATION AWARDS

The ANS is pleased to offer a number of awards for the Annual Spring meeting.

Neurotology Fellowship Award ($1000) - The Neurotology Fellow Award was established by the ANS in 1996 to reward scientific excellence. Applicants must be full-time participants in an ACGME approved Neurotology Fellowship.

Trainee Award ($1000) - ANS offers up to two Trainee awards for the best clinical and basic science paper in Neurotology submitted by a Resident or Fellow in training in the field of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Residents from any approved residency program or Fellows in Neurotology in the United States or Canada are eligible to compete. 

Nicholas Torok Vestibular Award ($1500) - established under the aegis of the ANS instituting a yearly lecture, is presented at the Annual Scientific Spring Meeting of the Society. The subject should be an innovative observation, experience or technique in the field of vestibular basic science or clinical science.

NEW AWARDS IN 2024!

Herbert Silverstein Award for Research Excellence in Otology/Neurotology ($1500)
An annual award endowed by a very generous bequest from Dr. Herbert Silverstein, will be presented to a trainee (Otolaryngology resident/Neurotology fellow) or early career clinician (1st five years of practice) for the best research manuscript submission for presentation at the annual ANS Scientific Meeting on the topics of Meniere’s disease, vestibular diseases, cochlear implants, vestibular schwannomas and otosclerosis. The recipient of the Award shall be selected by the ANS Executive Council. 

Michael E. Glasscock Scientific Merit Award ($1500)
This Award is being granted in recognition of Dr. Glasscock's lifetime commitment to education, research and the advancement of our field. Beginning in 2024, the primary author who submits the abstract receiving the highest composite blinded score, will be named as the first recipient of this prestigious award.
